Joining with theatre faculty at several universities across the country, I directed WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME by Heidi Schreck in advance of the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision about whether to accept the Mississippi law banning abortions at fifteen weeks. After our reading Schreck’s moving and timely play, we asked audiences to stay for cookies and a conversation about what this founding document means to us all in 2022.
